Large industrial components often require machining operations that are difficult to perform with conventional workshop equipment. Their dimensions, installation conditions, and operational constraints can make transportation impractical.
To address these challenges, IMHP has developed the Machining Rotating Column (MRC) — a modular and transportable solution designed to perform turning and milling operations directly on site.
Designed to Adapt to Every Project
The CGM can be configured according to the specific requirements of each intervention, providing flexibility while maintaining precise control of the machining process.
Its micrometric feed control enables high machining accuracy, while an electric motor with frequency converter provides controlled and consistent operation.
Precision for Critical Surfaces
The MRC is designed for machining applications where dimensional and geometric accuracy are essential, achieving dimensional tolerances of up to 0.04 mm and flatness tolerances of 0.03 mm/m.
Depending on the configuration, the equipment can machine diameters of up to 12 metres.
Typical Applications
The MRC is suitable for machining:
- Stay ring surfaces
- Draft tube flanges
- Runner chamber
- Casings
- Joint grooves
These operations can be performed directly at the customer’s facility, avoiding unnecessary transportation and helping reduce maintenance downtime.
Bringing Machining to the Equipment
The CGM reflects IMHP’s approach to industrial maintenance: combining proprietary portable technology with engineering expertise to deliver precision where it is needed.
